What Our Customers Have To Say:

The Standard Hay Pillow has really helped my girl to slow down her eating after she recovered from a long bout of ulcers.

She is much happier with her tummy being full a little longer between feedings! Thank you for this wonderful product!

~Amanda~

My minis love their Mini Hay Pillows!

They actually prefer to eat from them when given the choice of loose hay or the pillows.

Thank you for such a great product!

My little herd of four love their Hanging Hay Pillows!

I find the hanging ones very useful when I turn them out in my arena . We have a small property in the middle of Dallas and I have to manage the grass.
Having hay pillows tied to the arena fence allows my little herd to graze even though they are not turned out in the grass areas.

Had to share a photo of my mare, Foxy, enjoying her Manger Hay Pillow.

We used to have hay nets in the trailer but once I found Hay Pillows and bought one for the manger, I won't be using a hay net in there again.

Foxy can eat her hay as we travel down the road and she really likes it."

Standard 1 3/4
Jack our blind Standardbred has a hanging bag, but seems to struggle with it. He loves eating off the ground in his stall. But his hay gets so scattered, he can't find it all. With a hay pillow he wouldn't have to keep searching for his hay. He's a rescue and was starved, today he is a fat, happy 27 yr old, who loves my granddaughter Everlee, he's her Jack Jack

We would love to win the Standard Hay pillow with 1 1/4 inch sized holes. I have multiple horses with metabolic issues and I've been finding the typical hay nets have not been kind to my horses toplines. I have built a small grass free track for my recovering laminitic and to have a feeder that protects the hay from the ground yet still allows him to keep his his head to the ground while eating I think would be a fabulous option for us. Thank you for this opportunity!

I would love to try a standard hay pillow with 1 3/4 mesh size. My 21 year old Morab is insulin resistant and will have to live out his remaining years in a dirt lot. We currently have a web type hay bag that hangs. I would love to improve his quality of life by creating a track so he has a few places to *forage* for his hay. Reduce boredom. He has had a difficult last 2 years from recovery of laminitis and it appears we are finally on the mend and may yet make it through this very emotional journey. Thanks!

I would love a standard hay pillow in a 1 1/4 inch mesh size. These are perfect for traveling to shows so my horse can still eat with a natural head position but also at home because I feed from a big bale and they end up wasting a lot! With the price of hay, I’d like to save as much as possible and this would help me do that.

I feel like the standard pillow with 1 3/4 mesh will work best for our guy. My horse is a 29yr old OTTB. The dentist says his back teeth are shot so he quids a lot. He has several meals a day with soaked cubes, but he enjoys his hay. The standard pillow would allow him hay at a rate he may quid a bit less. Thanks for the chance.

I would love to try a standard pillow in 1 1/4 inch. My mare eats fast especially at my trainers. Loading her current feeder takes them too long so they often throw her hay on the floor instead and she eats it all in an hour then stall walks all day. Would like to try something quicker to load and easy for them that offers a natural neck position, this looks like a great product to meet her needs!

Standard hay pillow in 1.25”. I love keeping hay in front of my horses all day. They are very senior geldings (27 & 28!) and slow feed bags are where it’s at to more closely mimic natural grazing all day. What I love about these pillows is that it’s on the ground for a natural neck position!

I Recently purchased 2 of your mini hay pillows for my miniature ponies, one of the best things I've done for them. I goal is to keep all my horses as happy as possible, the hay pillow keeps them busy all day no more grumpy faces when I get home because they are so hungry. Hay Pillows are amazing! My Haflinger has one and it’s been great for him as part of his slow feeding routine along with all his other gear. He is able to enjoy eating for long periods of time and that’s very important for horses on SeeFood (they see food, they eat it) diets like him. I would love to win a hanging hay pillow with 1” holes for my retired senior mare. She’s 30-ish and thrives on a diet of Triple Crown senior feed and soaked hay pellets. She quids long stem hay because her teeth are pretty much gone, but I offer her Triple Crown Safe Starch chopped hay so she has something she can chew easily and thus has food 24/7 and so that it keeps her busy when she finishes her pellet mush and senior. It’s been hard to find a hay bag or net that doesn’t spill the chopped hay out (because it’s so fine) but the design of the hanging hay pillow would do the trick!

I have previously purchased Hay Pillows for my miniature horses. They (and I) absolutely love them.

My Quarter Horse mare was recently diagnosed with laminitis, and therefore has to be on stall rest indefinitely. A Hay Pillow would allow her to be occupied for a long period of time in her stall, and also would make the hay soaking process quicker and more effective. I would love a standard 1 1/4” net for her.

Thank you all so much for hosting this giveaway!

Would love a standard Hay Pillow with a 1 1/4” mesh for my mare. She has been on stall rest for several weeks now and her regular (hanging) hay net does not hold her hay very well. This would keep the hay inside it and also allow her to eat in the natural grazing position while lasting her longer throughout the day.

Thank you!

I would like to win because I have 2 large ponies that have metabolic issues and they need a couple more feeding stations outside in their dry lot to encourage more movement since they cannot be on grass.

We would love to win one of your hay pillows because they have become an integral part of our feeding program for our mini donkeys. Using your pillows keeps them eating longer, slows down their eating helping them stay the ideal weight, and for our goofy boy they double as another toy. We love hay pillows!!

I would choose the standard hay pillow design in a 1" hole size! It would be perfect for my mares to use in their pasture as an enrichment option or when I have them just hanging out in the arena prior to our training sessions. It would be a great teaching moment for all of students (Little Legs Pony Academy) to help them understand why this design works well for our ponies and goats. I currently use a weaver brand canvas hay bag but the holes are way too big and it hasn't held up well at all. This would be so much better!

I am 60, my horse is 9. We attend long rides In neighboring states. This involves long trailer rides followed by 200+ long trail rides. Your standard hay pillow would work wonderfully both in the trailer, small mesh to to avoid choking & at horse camps to avoid ingesting dirt. Both problems I’ve evaded to solve.

I call him Dreadful because when I got him as a rescue a year ago he was skinny, under muscled, and covered in rain rot. He goes through his flakes of hay pretty quick due to having been starved at some point. The hanging bag with a small mesh would be perfect to help him slow down!

My Mustang comes into her roundpen in the evening and goes through the 2 flakes of hay, that she gets additionally to dinner, so fast that she doesn’t get to snack for over 10 hours, until I come give her breakfast and let her out. I just acquired a second horse(20 yr old arab, who’s overweight) to help my guy emotionally. I put a pile on the ground for him. She eats out a hay net hanging from the shed. The ground would be so much better. I also have two goats. Since bringing her home, we have complications during feeding time. She gets pushed off, even the goats push her off. Having more slow feeder feeding stations would greatly help and give them more places to eat. Also, the 3rd is my birthday, so would be really cool to win!

My mare is a hot mess. She has to have slow feeds. She is metabolic so she can't just devour her hay. This would help my back and not having to hoist hay bags up. There are times where I do have to soak hay. So I would hope this would be better. Plus they say that it's best they eat from the ground versus elevated.

My horses are both rescues..they have a lot of medical needs yet continue to be the sweetest horses possible & even go to local shows with me & prove stigmas wrong that rescued means broken or unwanted horses. This past year my rescue gelding had a medical emergency in the middle of winter & as we pulled into vets office he slipped on some snow that got into the trailer & turned to ice - luckily he is totally fine & healthy as ever..but his trailer haybag was a total loss & was completely ripped apart.

For my horse, this is so important for her general happiness and overall physical and mental wellness. No more feeding time aggression, no more frustrated ripping and pulling at her hay bag that's hung at a much higher - and unnatural - position. You guys.... I cannot overstate this enough: Peace and calm immediately returned to feeding time - with the very first use. Not to mention there's very little waste. Wonderful product.

We are just setting up a track system to help our “curvy” mares get more exercise, and it would be perfect to use a hay pillow at the far end of the track to encourage them to move about more. Hi! My name is Anna Lee. I am 7 years old. I live in Arkansas. My Mommy got me a pony for my Birthday this year! He is black and white. I named him Oreo :)

We saved Oreo. He was in a pen and shared his food with pigs. He never had hay before we got him. He was very skinny.

Now, Oreo is getting a big belly! He loves to cuddle and lay down to eat. He eats really fast in the morning, so he needs a hay net. Mommy is worried his feet will get stuck, and we have to hang it low. We have been trying to find the right one.

It would be fun to let him eat from his Hay Pillow when he lays down and I brush him! It’s our favorite thing to do.

Mommy says the ‘Mini Hay Pillow Slow Feeder Hay Bag’ with the 1 1/4” mesh size would be just perfect! He would eat with his head down just like he likes to. Mommy says the mesh size is just right to keep his feet safe.

Good luck everyone! Thank you for reading my story

I volunteer for a Velvet Noses Horse ministry. I would like to win a 1.5 inch hanging day bag for us to try. We have 10 horses in the program and currently feed four times a day. If this works for us I’m Hoping this will allow us to feed 2x a day. We would order more nets after trying this net. Thanks for your consideration of Velvet Noses. We have a website. I would be contact for this offer. Kathy

I have tried many different slow feeders and researched even more. These slow feeders are by far the best I’ve used. They are durable and extremely safe. I currently have 2 standard pillows with 1” mesh. My previous horse LOVED them. I would hang a traditional hay feeder in his stall and put the hay pillows in his turnout(unfortunately his turnout doesn’t have grass). Even though the holes were smaller, making it harder for him to get the hay, he would choose to eat from the hay pillows. I have since sold him and I’m getting a new horse. I would like to have a standard pillow with 1 1/4” mesh to transition him. He is a bit finicky and I’m worried about the 1” mesh being too challenging for him as he’s use to a pasture full of grass. He has a history of ulcers so it is imperative he has continuous access to hay (without turning into porky the pig and breaking my bank. ;-)

I would love to win a standard slow feeder hay pillow size 1”. My horse came from a somewhat abusive situation and some days did not know when his next meal would come (stuck in a run with dirt only - no grazing). Even though I have had him for 3 years and he gets two solid meals a day along with 10-12 hours of pasture time a day, he still gobbles his food. We have a mesh-style hay bag in his stall to slow him down but I like him to be able to eat from the ground. This would be perfect for him.

Standard Hay Pillow, 1 3/4 mesh size

I adopt a mustang almost 2 months ago. I bought 1 Hay Pillow and it took her a bit to learn how to use it but now she uses it perfect! I only have 1 so I'm unable to feed all her Hay in it. I love how it cuts down on waste, keeps her in a natural grazing position and keeps Hay off the sandy ground! I would love to win another one to try to feed all her Hay in pillows!

I’d love to try out the standard pillow size 1 3/4…. My mare recently foundered and I now have her and my daughters 10hand pony on a dry lot. My mare has been diagnosed with IR so no more green grass for her. Watching them stand in the same spot at a hay net allday breaks my heart. I’d love to try the pillow and see them moving and chasing it as they flip it around and having them eating in a natural head position. I’m a HUGE turnout person. The Hanging Hay Pillow with 1-1/4" mesh would be a great help in limiting the waste and extending the meals of my youngsters. My yearling and two year old since they have smaller bellies than the adult horses have a tendency to scatter and play in their hay once their bellies are full. The a Hanging Hay Pillow secured to the barn would prevent some of the mischief.

I have seen these and wanted to try one for my horse because I think it would be great for taking to rodeos because she does not stand still at the trailer or tied up, she has to be doing something or eating. So I'm wanting to try this for her because it will make her eat slow and help her stay calm and still when shes tied up. If this does work I would definitely spread the word to others about these awsome hay pillows!

He is such a good pony and even though he is on the other side of the field when we say “ yo! Roo!” He comes galloping. He is so good and patient to kids. The slow feeder small mesh helps slow them down, prevents boredom, and keeps their digestive track moving like it should as if they were grazing. I have heard amazing things about The Hay Pillow for years by friends & people in horse groups & I am very interested in trying one! I have two horses; my gelding has heaves, so hay nets are a MUST for him so he doesn't bury his face in a pile of dusty hay! And my mare is a fatty, so anything that I can do to slow her down helps to keep her in good body condition. She also just got over ulcers & hay nets help to keep hay in their pasture for longer. I'm in the process of building them a track system so I'd love to try the Standard Hay Pillows with 3/4" size to put along my track to keep my horses healthy & active!

I would love to try a standard hay pillow with 1 3/4” holes. My OTTB firmer broodmare is a horrible hay waster….but needs hay 24/7 cuz she’s a hard keeper!

Hi! Would love to win a standard size hay pillow with 1 3/4 holes for my new Bowie kill pen rescue horse. I already have them for my other ones. Thank you!

My young OTTB would love a 1 inch hold hanging horse pillow net! She is my very first young project horse and has lots of energy. I am constantly looking for new ways to enrich her life and I think this hay net would be perfect for her! When she first came to me she would crib but since implementing more enrichment she has stopped this habit! I want to continue to challenge her brain and give her more outlets in a safe way :)

Slow feeding is the closest to the natural way Equine eat.
The only way I feed grass hay. My two mares would really like this hay pillow with the 1 1/4" mesh size:

I would love to try the 1 3/4" Hay Pillow for my 2 horses. We have been using Tough 1 hay bags and make shifting them to work as on the ground slow feeders. Slow feeders are a great idea to keep horses from gobbling up all their hay and then having nothing to do. I believe it is more natural for them. Plus, we weigh each bag to make sure how much hay they are getting per feeding.

I would love to win one of the manger hay pillows with the 4"x6" opening. I've tried the regular hay net but just doesn't work like I want it to. This would be a great addition to my trailer.

>Hanging Hay Pillow - 1 3/4 mesh.

This would be ever so helpful for my sweet mare Gracie. She’s a toss and throw her hay around kind of gal who ends up losing hay to her barn buddy because she throws it all over her paddock

Thanks for considering us!

Standard hay pillow with 1 3/4 please!! I have had a really hard time finding hay nerd that work for ground feeding as my horses are very rough on netting. I am a Large Animal Massage Therapist and understand the importance of group feeding when it comes to muscles, alignment, etc of the body. My horses are all turned out 24/7 and ground fed whenever possible. I need nets that can work!

I’d like the standard pillow with the 1 3/4 mesh for my gelding so he can slow his hay intake and give him more to do during his day. I had a pillow before but I had to get rid of it as my horse had “neighbors” with shoes that kept getting ahold of it. I’m at a new barn now that has wood panels between pens, so there won’t be any unauthorized users.

Manger Hay Pillow, 1 3/4 × 1 3/4. Thank you for making well thought out products out equines will be glad to use! Miss Midnight is a nervous eater that needs encouragement and I believe the Manger Hay Pillow will be the perfect solution for her. I am excited to obtain this product. Keeping hay out of her eyes and reducing waste on the trailer floor is a huge plus.

I would love to win the hanging hay pillow with 1 3/4 opening for my horse Tucker! He is on stall rest for a collateral ligament injury for the next 9 months or so, and I think your product could really help keep him busy and entertained while stuck in his stall. Thank you!

We are THRILLED with our hay pillow and would die for more! Our babies prefer eating out of the standard pillow with 1 3/4” size over our other free feeding nets. The pillow is easy to fill and very durable with a strong zipper. It significantly reduces hay waste. The pillow also keep precious noses out of the sand. I would buy a million of these if I could! I appreciate that the Hay Pillow Company also provides great educational information on a variety of horse topics on their Insta.
Thank you, Hay Pillow! 💕

Mini Hay Pillow Slow Feeder Hay Bag (ground)
1 1/4 size
I was given a mini horse. I am a first time horse owner working on collecting everything I need to best care for the most special and sweetest old mini gal, with the most gentle kindest soul. She absolutely melts my heart every time I look at her…
She served as a wonderful cart training mini in her youth for both children and adults. After reading about the benefits of eating in a natural position I think she needs this type of slow feeder for both weight management (cresty neck) and natural wear of her teeth as she has already had a tooth removed. Thank you for this opportunity to win one for Patches!

My horse Willow and I have entered every contest that the Hay Pillow has posted. I bought a hay pillow which we use everyday and now we have started to go horse camping and I believe Willow will really benefit from the hay net since her hay pillow gets “stolen” by her stall neighhhhhh bor while camping.
Please let Willow win so she can be the envy of her equine friends when she camps.
She has requested a 1 3/4 size hay net… she feels this will suit her needs best while away from the barn.
Fingers crossed 🤞

Standard Hay Pillow® Slow Feeder Hay Bag in 1 1/4
I would like to give this net to my donkeys and mules because it prevents the proliferation of intestinal parasites and having unlimited food in time but limited in quantity helps digest better and makes them more relaxed and balanced.
the material underneath helps keep the hay clean without rolling the sack away during the meal.
the size chosen would be perfect for them because they have tried different sizes of shirts and they are fine with this.

1” standard hay pillow would be great for my overweight mini donk that lives with my overweight Appaloosa who are both used to slow feed only they eat out of 1 1/2” hanging hay nets and slow feeder bins. This would help more and be more natural type grazing with their heads more toward the ground to minick foraging or grazing. Thank you for the chance to win.

I would love to win the standard hay pillow with 1 3/4in holes.

I have a 28yr old senior gelding. He was my first horse and personal 4H horse for many years. In the last decade he has been teaching my children to ride.
We utilize slow feed hay nets in the winter, but lack areas to secure them in the "boys" pasture (shared by my senior and his 18yr old stallion pasture mate).
I have been just laying them on the ground, but thats such a mess on muddy, rainy, and snowy days.
A pillow would be absolutely perfect for them!

The 1 3/4 inch is a great size for his work teeth and old lips. And smaller and i think it would be too much of a challenge.
His pasture mate can devour a few pounds of hay in minutes, unless its in a slow feed net. This size works well for him too.

We are a 4H family with quarter horses and minis. The Mini Hay Pillow Slow Feeder Hay Bag, with the 1 1/4 inch holes would be great for our 2 minis who share a pen. One is a little overweight and the other is a messy hay eater! A hay pillow to simulate a grazing atmosphere (versus loose hay flakes) would be great for both of them! Plus these look easy enough that the kids could use them!

The Hay Pillow I would love to win would be the Hanging Hay Pillow - Small Mesh Hay Net Alternative
1 3/4" Mesh size.

You see, I haven't had horses in 12 years and I recently got a yearling colt and a yearling mare due to the fact that I had to retire early due to anxiety, depression and panick attacks from a really bad life that has been dealt to me from childhood. Long story short, horses have always been my therapy. Since getting my two companion babies in the last few months I again have a reason to get out of bed in the morning and spend time outside. I feel so much love from them and enjoy every moment that I am around them. Right now I have sooo much hay waste though! 🤦‍♀️ I've looked at the cheap Hay Nets at the stores and the associates even tell me they're not worth buying. Yours look heavy duty! I would love to be able to save money on Hay waste.
I was raised in foster homes and was lucky enough to know people/ friends with horses and that's all I ever wanted when I grew up so that's what I did. I'm glad I'm now getting a second chance at having my own and I have every minute of every day to spend with them! These babies have given me my life back when I used to just stay in bed most of the time, they deserve the best!
Thank you so much for considering my babies and I in your contest we would be very grateful of owning one of your Hay nets!
Sincerely,
Tonja Mize

The hay pillow I'd love to win is the standard hay pillow with 1-3/4" netting!

My girls (Ahri and Orianna) and I LOVE your hay pillows so much but the ones we have are getting pretty old and have seen WAY better days. They would be so excited to have a nice new one to fight over so I can retire one of the old barely usable ones! I love using the hay pillows so they can eat with their head down and they like playing with them while they eat, its a win win!

Thank you!

The hay pillow I'd like-to win is the standard hay pillow with 1-3/4" netting.

I free feed grass hay and we get a lot of winds through out the year. With the prices of hay rising, I can’t afford to waste it due it it flying away.. this would help prevent a lot of waste.
