"Good morning from the gang! It's no secret we love the Hay Pillows® and they are always our first choice.
We have been using them for years now. Since we don’t have pasture available in the desert we can recreate the feeling of it, and the healthy motions: heads low, teeth that pull, social eating, and even movement as you will never find a Hay Pillow where you left it and the horses keep moving to and from it as they chew.
This avoids patterns in the head position, jaw, body and limb placement, which in return helps teeth and whole body balance!
The most important aspect of making this a successful practice is finding the right size holes that your herd can work with. We have always used 1 3/4" and we find that our herd does not get frustrated, does not flick or paw at the pillows nor do they eat them up too fast. And they enjoy sharing even if one is free and available."
